About this tour
The Black River in St. Elizabeth is one of the longest rivers in Jamaica, and its wetlands are home to American crocodiles, egrets, herons and huge mangrove roots. A guided boat safari takes you deep into this side of the island that many visitors never see.
The drive itself is a highlight: through the hills of Westmoreland, past cane fields and small towns where we can stop for pepper shrimp, a famous St. Elizabeth roadside snack.
Add Pelican Bar (a wooden bar on stilts out at sea), Treasure Beach or YS Falls to make a full south-coast adventure.

Questions about the Black River Safari
Will we definitely see crocodiles?
Sightings are very common on the Black River, but they're wild animals so it's never guaranteed.
Where do you pick up from?
Anywhere in Jamaica. We collect from all hotels, resorts, villas and Airbnbs, from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay and Norman Manley International (KIN) in Kingston, and from the Montego Bay, Falmouth and Ocho Rios cruise ports.
Are attraction entrance fees included?
Our prices cover your private vehicle, fuel and your driver-guide. Entrance fees for attractions (for example Dunn's River Falls, Rose Hall or YS Falls) are paid at the attraction unless we've told you otherwise in your quote.
